Wait, what? So you don’t know how to type, is that what you are saying? 2-finger system, 10-finger system, this is very strange language.
The language used by most people is this:
- Touch typing — you don’t need to look at the keyboard to type
- Hunt and peck — you need to look at the keyboard to type
The fastest people can type using hunt and peck is probably 20 words per minute unless the text they are typing is already memorized (wikipedia). If you type 20 wpm and you want to write 5,000 words a day you need 250 minutes of writing. That’s more than 4 hours of sustained concentration if you never re-read or edit anything you type.
This means that once you take into account editing and rewriting text for flow, grammar and syntax you need to invest a minimum of 8 hours for 5,000 words.
Not impossible but I think you should state in your article that 5,000 words is only possible if an entire day is dedicated to writing.
